It's hard to help without knowing what exactly is hanging you up. I generally think you could model this whole thing in four features. one sketch on the right plane, one sketch on the front plane, one extrude to make the main shape, one extrude to cut away extra stuff. here's a simpler example of this workflow. note, the final extrude uses "Intersect", which might make more sense than "Remove". Play with it.1
