Drawing - Show Revision Table Icon

matthew_stacymatthew_stacy Member Posts: 487 PRO
Apologies for being daft, but I can't find the toolbar icon to insert a revision table in a drawing.  The help (https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/drawings-revision-table.htm) shows FOUR icons for inserting tables, with one specifically for revision tables.  I only have THREE icons:  Table, BoM Table, and Hole Table.

Looking for this:

But I only have:

Suggestions?

The Revision Table icon is only available if you opt into Release Management and the document is owned by a company

Thanks for clearing that up @raj_Onshape.

It would be extremely helpful if the HELP documentation indicated when functionality is restricted to particular subscription levels (public/edu/standard/pro/enterprise).  Perhaps it already does and I just missed it?

My first thought is: are you using Release Management? I think that the Revision tables (and functionality) only show if you're using Release Management.
If you are using Release Management, then check with support (because the Revision table should appear) - if not, you can turn it on in your settings (should look something like this):

    See if that helps.

Release Management works with Part Numbers (for Parts, Drawings, and Assemblies, and other files) to keep track of the Revision level of each item.

It works well - and the Revision tables do a good job of tracking the Revision of the Drawings. You don't have many options for customizing the tables yet.

    Hope that helps!

@romeograham, looks like I'll have to make do with manual tables if/until I upgrade to a Professional or Enterprise subscription.

I guess you will. I thought you had a Pro subscription since you have a "Pro" tag here on the Forum:

I really like Release Management - it allows you to manage single parts in Studios / Documents...so that when you Version the document, the places where you used a Revision of a part don't require updating (fewer blue update icons).

@romeograham, the "PRO" designation that you see here in forum posts does not correspond to a specific subscription category.  I believe that "Standard" "Professional" and "Enterprise" subscriptions are all tagged with the same moniker.  It just differentiates from free accounts.
