Switch To Function

barry_mendellbarry_mendell Member Posts: 3 PRO
Hi All,
I'm evaluating onshape and have noticed that the Switch To function is not available when I RMB in an imported assembly. First, is this a known issue and secondly, what's the work-around for opening a part from within an assembly?

Thanks

Hi @barry_mendell - Welcome to the forum! I think the functionality you're looking for should be there. There are multiple options when importing an assembly its possible to import all the parts into a single "part studio". Can you see if the assembly imported into a single "part studio" tab instead of an "assembly" tab, perhaps?

If you can share a public link to the document or a screenshot of what you're seeing, that could be helpful!

mmm  I have never seen that go missing.  If you are, I suggest submitting a ticket on that document.

Don't know what I did but the Switch To function is there now. However, here's another one for you; how do I open up one of the parts in a new browser tab? When I click on Open in New Browser tab, it's over-writing the tab I currently have open.
I imported this assembly into a single document.

    Thanks
