Print out parts for wood working

Hi there community. I am wondering if anyone knows how to take something I have made and print out the parts on paper for stencilling on wood?

So say I have a complex object and I want to isolate a single panel out of it, then I want to be able to print the shape, in 2d on paper. I would like the print to be dimensionally correct. So that may mean the printer prints out a few pieces of paper that I would have to tape together to get the correct dimensions.

The purpose is so I can take the printed pieces of paper and stick them to a piece of wood and use it to guide me cutting the wood.

Here is one way you can do this:

• Create a drawing (Not a sketch) You can learn about how to create drawings here: https://learn.onshape.com/courses/fundamentals-detailed-drawings
• Set the sheet size to the paper size you are using
• Insert the part into your drawing (In this case you may want to choose a larger size that will fit your part 1:1 and tell your printer to print on multiple sheets)
• Make sure your part view is set to 1:1 scale
• Export the drawing as a pdf
• Print the pdf (in your print settings on your computer, make sure scale is turned of
