How to cut the corner of a cube?

Hallo pros,

I'm pretty new to 3D designing in Onshape so maybe you can help me out.

1. question: How can I rotate a layer in 3D so I can cut the corner of a cube with it?

2. question: When I want to flange a plate do I have to use the symbol left of "flange"? I don't get the flange symbol to do anything at my plate.

There is also a flange tool that works outside of the sheetmetal toolset

1. The Revolve feature will work well for this.
2. I'm not sure, can you share your document so that it is easier to diagnose?

2. The flange feature works if you working in Onshape's "sheet metal mode". You'd have to use the starting Sheet Metal feature to have your starting plate identified as sheet metal in Onshape, then the flange feature will work. https://learn.onshape.com/courses/designing-with-sheet-metal-in-onshape
