Please help with "Chamfer failed to regenerate."

Every time I "unsupress sweep" my Chamfer goes away and says "failed to regenerate." If I again "supress sweep," my Chamfer is back just fine. I don't understand why it is failing to regenerate. I am following a tutorial video where the same sequence of commands works fine. Please help! Thank you!
