Edit Appearance with an Imported Solidworks Document

I have imported a Solidworks .zip file and I am trying to edit the appearance of some of the different parts in the part assembly. The appearance seems to update in the appearance panel, but the parts do not show the appearance change reflected in the viewing window. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to change the outer cylinder and inner cylinder in this document: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/2f70a2701926ccb2a0e6c8ed/w/a219e97ca7882f132bdb3480/e/691077162a546f40722b7866?renderMode=0&uiState=61f9766ae6edb51115e8beac
Thank you!

I've had this kind of issue before, I think it's if the SW parts had face appearances set then changing the part color in Onshape doesn't do anything, however I was able to set face appearances in Onshape as a workaround (box select the whole part and "add appearance to Face).
You could also try the "Part color" custom feature (haven't tried it in this scenario but it might work). https://cad.onshape.com/documents/d997b0ffc30f659113b10c00/v/662c5641b35c64e5f0555a40/e/b6db0c9545b9a2df1d7ea546?jumpToIndex=595
