New to me, warning from Safari. "file downloaded from onshape.com "part1.stl" will damage...

I've downloaded squillions of .stl files to 3d print and never saw this warning pop up from Safari:
"file downloaded from onshape.com "part1.stl" will damage your computer.
The default option was "move to trash" I did so... but thought that was odd.

What might be goin on here?

Sometimes MacOS thinks .STL is a certificate trust list. You can right (control-) click on a .STL file that's ok and tell MacOS to always open that file type with some program (a viewer or something).

OH... that makes lots of sense...(it is odd that this only now happened but I'm ok with a bit of mystery) Thanks!
