In Android, stay in document when screen is turned off and on

In the past, I've exported drawings as PDFs, but it'd preferable to instead look at the drawings directly in the Onshape app. However, when I have a drawing open in the app and then I close my phone's screen for a period of time to do some machining operation and then I reopen my phone's screen, I'm sent back to the main menu that shows my various Onshape documents and I have to re-open the one of interest. Is there a way to make the app work so that the document remains open even if the screen is turned off for a period of time?
