Problem creating a fillet between two tubes

Hello all,
I have an assembly, consisting of two tubular parts connected to a tee-form. One part is only a half-tube or channel, but I think that's not too important.
As I want to 3D-print the assembly, I tried to add a fillet where the two parts meet. Although I can see the curve where the parts meet, I can't add a fillet.
The error message says: Edges must form a single chain per part. I don't know what that means.
Maybe someone here can help me?

The problem is that there are two separate bodies (one is a solid, one is a surface) in your part studio and thus you can't fillet between them. You could do an all-surface workflow - i.e extrude the outside diam of the pipes, fillet, then thicken. Or go all solids. Either way you'll need them to be a single body before the fillet

Ok, I think I see the problem. But in my assembly I have two solids, maybe I should try  a boolean and.
The plane was necessary to cut the tube, maybe I included the wrong document.
