drawing a widening spiral

ive only started learning CAD and im using inspiration from work products to practise drawing for myself. i have been following a few videos online and reading others questions. 
im currently looking at feeder wagon augers, these are spiralled chutes that narrow toward the top, i have attempted to draw this below. but i do not know how to make a spiral widen at the bottom to meet the shaft,  is this possible?
