Hi! I'm having trouble with shelling out this helmet.

Whenever I select any part down below it always shows a red dot on the top of the helmet. I've gone over those sections multiple times now and I can't find what those dots are connected to. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

A couple of things - not all the bottom faces were selected, plus those decorative bits on the sides won't shell well. If you select all the faces and move the shell right after the main shape, it mostly works.
