Offset/move face into an object to create clearance?

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/c5d3a5d522294bcee608e9f1/w/d580b6282ac666a60b14ca6d/e/25aac14382f00c4ed1a90b3c?renderMode=0&uiState=638c2973f69e141166bc382c

Trying to use a boolean subtract with an offset to cut out space for an imported object.  The offset will only work if I go inwards, not outwards.  You can see what I mean in the failing boolean in the project.

I also tried using move face but it fails if I try to move the faces outward into the rectangular extrusion I'm trying to cut into...

Any help or better ways to do this?
