Is it possible to use a variable in a circular pattern?

I have been trying to use a configuration variable to control the number of times the selection is repeated in a circular pattern, but it doesn't accept any variable as an input. Is there a workaround?

You probably don’t want to use sketch patterns for things like this. A feature pattern is better and can be controlled by a variable.0
