trouble with chamfers

hey guys im trying to make this less then a 90 degree angle for my 3d printer but when i try to chamfer it it goes the wrong way... any ideas?

    This is because they are two separate bodies. You must first join the two bodies into one part. This is possible via the boolean feature.
