Project Spline into another sketch

Does anybody know how to bring in a Spline from one sketch to use as a reference.

Currently I am getting the following message "Could not project the selected entities into the current sketch" when trying this.

The Spline represents the Half Breadth View of a boat and I would like to project that into each of my Station sketches so that I can constrain the top points in the station Spline to the Spline defining the starboard side of the Half Breadth.

Regards
Steve

If I'm understanding this correctly, it sounds like you might want to use a pierce relationship. That's useful when curves are roughly orthogonal to each other and you need to align one to the other where they intersect at the current sketch plane.
