Cannot extrude pin in Exercise: Creating Multiple Parts in Part Studio

I am trying to extrude the middle pin (Slide 10), but unable to select the middle circle. What am I doing wrong?

It worked for me, you can have a look in the document I have attached. Sometimes it can be helpful to hide existing geometry or planes for your selections. Hope this helps.

Might be that you have made a wrong selection or just need to flip around the extrude directions.

It's the middle pin - one with the big circle, that I'm having trouble with. I am unable to select the region between the middle and the inner circle.
