Is there a way to Calculate the entire surface area across a plane?

I would like to know the total surface area across the Front plane.  I tried projecting the entire object (car) onto a sketch but some parts wont project (like those highlighted in the picture).  Anyone have sugguestions?

The "project body" featurescript should be able to do that for you:

You can use the newly added isocline feature to create curves at 0 degrees to the front plane on the surfaces in question. Then you should be able to project those onto a plane to help get the frontal area.

That's MUCH more simple. I don't remember seeing that before.

Yeah I've used it for getting projected areas for computing wind loads, very handy to have!
If you have an assembly you just have to create an in-context part studio first and you can project the context directly (or maybe you have to do a "copy in place" first, I don't remember).
I am still regularly amazed at how many time-saving Featurescripts are out there, the real challenge being to know about/find them which is why I try to post any relevant ones I can think off in all these threads as this is how I "discovered" most of them!

This worked perfect...(I changed the car some), but ....
