how to trim sheet metal ends that are not in one plane to another sheet metal which is curved.

Say you have two guard rails of different profiles that intersect at an angle how to you construct it in sheet metal as I could not seem to cut the ends of the sheet metal by various methods.
The whole idea of using 3d cad was that the software calculates it rather than me manually trying to do sketches of the intersecting ends.

FOUND THE ONLY WAY TO CUT THE SHEETMETAL WAS TO HAVE A PLANE THAT DID NOT TOUCH THE SHEET METAL AND THEN EXTRUDE RIGHT THROUGH IT.
