Generate BOM that includes automatically calculated total length of part?

I'm wanting to generate a BOM that includes total length of a part, particularly a Composite Part.
Say I have a gate with multiple posts (all combined into a single Composite part), and need to populate the BOM with the composite part's total length.
(As the posts are all cut from a single length of material in real life)
Is this something OnShape can do natively? If not, any pointers appreciated!
Thanks

Getting the length of each part in the composite would depend on how its modelled.
If you are using the frames feature, you could retrieve it from the cutlist properties.
But if the parts are all just modelled directly, you might have to use some kind of bounding box calculations.
