    Go here:
    https://www.onshape.com/en/education/renew

    Use the same email address you use for your free account and you will be upgraded to student.

    Some trainees want to upgrade their fee account to a student account. They used the same E-mail adress as they used for the free account. They got the message “E-mail adress is already used”, and an Upgrade wasn’t possible. What’s going wrong?

    Hi @hans_van_de_burgt.

    Sorry for the misleading message.  As soon as your trainees see the "There is already an account associated with..." message, have them click the "Students" link in the middle and complete the rest of the signup process.
