Different 'Part Number' for configurations of a part

Is there a way to apply a unique part number to different configurations within a part studio?  I can seem to find out how to do this.

    In principle, this is possible under the configured properties of the parts. BUT, at the latest when the parts are released, the part numbers must be unique for each configured part.

    Yes under <configurations> then <configured properties> Parts or <configured assembly features> Assemblies

    @Dean_Gardner
    You can also enter the data from the BOM directly and it will create an entry in the "configured properties" in the part studio (for the configuration you are currently looking at in the BOM), which can be a handy shortcut sometimes.
