Help with a custom extrusion

Hi folks, I'm new to the onshape software and cad drawing.
I'm trying to use the extrusion to remove the excess of the frame from my drawing, I tried to use the "Remove up to part" but I'm not manage to make it work.
What I'm doing wrong and what is the easiest way to do this?

Welcome to Onshape @willian_tamagi!
Extrude up to part only works if there are no open gaps in the part. You could fill in all the holes that the extrude is detecting, or you could use the Boolean feature to remove the excess material like this:
