Onshape Drawing Load Times

As a high school instructor I am using the Intro to CAD materials, but when we get to section 1.4, the drawings simply do not load. Is there anything we can do to make them load more quickly? We have a wifi network and students can either work on Chromebooks or on Dell Intel Core i7 laptops.

A few drawings have been really slow to load (one took several minutes) for me this morning. Been hit or miss.

Can you give us some more information about what "do not load" looks like?

There have been issues with some school systems using network security tools that block websocket requests. The last time we ran into a drawings-only issue with this, the whitelist needed to be expanded to *.onshape.com (it was more narrow). Can you see if your IT admins can take a look and see if they are blocking the websocket requests?

    Hi John.
Thanks for your response. I have reached out to IT and I will let you know if your suggestion resolves the issue. Do not load means the drawing page opens and the circle showing the page is loading simply spins without the drawing ever loading.

Hi John. Even though IT has allowed *.onshape.com, the loading issue still persists where the drawing simply does not load. All of the other parts and assemblies load, but not the drawing, regardless of whether it is something I have made or whether it is something produced by Onshape which I have made a copy of.  Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.
    Thank you.

Geoff, I'm having our support team open a ticket on your behalf. I'd like to get a little more information about what you are seeing. This may be impacting other schools.

I have been having the same issue. Everything on the program works but the drawings.

@john_barry505 please open a support ticket. You have something blocking those WebSockets.

Was anything resolved about the drawings not loading?  I have been struggling with this for several months at my school as well.
