How to create the next part in this (parametric) model?

I have got this far with modelling a Counter Flap Catch, with the intent of it being a 3D print-in-place model, but I am now a bit stuck trying to work out how to continue.

I suppose I need to add another sketch, offset from the inner side of the slot somehow, to continue with the grey (moving) part.

Any help or suggestions will be massively appreciated!

You should make parts symmetrical about the default planes whenever possible. On Matt's copy, he modified your first extrusion to be symmetrical about the front plane. You'll use that plane many times over in this project and in future projects.

Seems you could just continue on the path you're on. No need for another plane. Just use the front plane as you did in your first sketch and use symmetrical extrudes as you've previously done. If you didn't have the option to use a previously used plane, in your case, Mid plane would be a good choice .

While modeling the catch in a the current part studio works, if you have other parts or (sub)assemblies that affect how the catch would be modeled, use of Create Part Studio in context within an assembly would be a better choice. - Scotty

Make an editable copy of my document and use the rollback bar to investigate.  As suggested above, I changed your first extrusion to symmetric to the Front plane stayed in the middle of the part.  Other than that, I just made one additional extrude as an Add to add it to the Arm part.
