quick question: can I mirror the associated mate connectors along with the owner part?

is this possible?
If I mirror a part, It is possible to (in a second mirror feature) to mirror mate connector features. but I can't seem to relate the mirrored mates to the mirrored part (make the mirrored part the "owner" of the mirrored mates.
to use later on in assemblies
example: test mate connector | Assembly 1 (onshape.com)

Try editing the original mirror feature, and select the mates there. If that doesn't work, you can switch the mirror part option to mirror features and select all of your relevant features. You may have to select "Apply per instance" if using the second approach.
