Cuting parts to the shape of others

Hello, 
I want to cut the blue part to the shape of the grey bottom part, but the blue part needs to keep its curve on the top, is there any way to do it?

Hi @mia_klauk, the Boolean intersect feature is capable of merging parts.

This works, because the side faces of the blue are vertical. Even if they were not, you could always make a sketch on the bottom of the blue, use or intersect the shape of the grey, and then use that to split the blue.

Hi, your doc is read-only, so I can't try it myself. Looking a bit closer, you do have the Skizze 4, which you could use for that, but there is a self-intersection in it, which could lead to trouble with all things boolean. You could try to remove the intersection by editing Skizze 4 first. I see no other reason why it should not work, then.

The best way to create a body like the one you are attempting, is probably by using two intersecting sketches. You could extrude the first one as "New" (Neu) and the second one as "Intersect" (Schnittmenge) and immediately get the result you are probably after. No need for additional actions: The tree is pretty short.
