Groove or channel around curved face....

Evening all,
I have extruded a quadrant (a quarter of a circle) and want to remove a channel from its mid-line around the outer face of said quadrant. Is this do-able? any pointers please?

Scotty, that did the trick, all i had to do was widen to 25mm the groove and it was sorted.
I just now have to work out how it happened.

In order to use the Sweep tool a path for the sweep and a profile are requirements. Knowing that the round face of the part is the groove target, the path would have to follow that face. But where on that face vertically? I decided on the mid point of the bottom and top surfaces. There needs to be a surface in that location on which to create the path sketch. Thus the reason for creating a Plane in that location (another option is to create a mate connector in that location and use that as the surface). There are options when creating a plane; the obvious option in this instance is Mid Plane, selecting the top and bottom part surfaces when using that tool.

The next step is to create a sketch on the new plane and with the Use tool, select the top or bottom round edge.

For the profile create a sketch on either flat face of the 'ends' of the part. In order for the sweep to work, the profile sketch must intersect the sweep path.

All that's left to do is to select the Sweep tool and fill in the selection boxes.
