How can I create a pattern of grooves on an irregular lofted surface?

That looks like a quart oil bottle. Below is a link to a document which is one way to do it. Please post a link to your document so others can see what you have so far. - Scotty0

You could project the line pattern on the face and then sweep the groove profiles along the resulting curves. (There has been brand new functionality added to OS only two days ago, to have sweep orientation follow a surface. That could be helpful here.)
