Websocket issue when connecting from home computer

I am trying to open and edit a model in my onshape account from my personal home desktop PC running windows 10 x64.
I can't get past the "Onshape is not connected. Your document is saved. Refresh the browser to continue working on this document." notice when I attempt to open a model. 
I used the "Compatibility check" page and got the "WebSocket connection" fail.

"There was a problem creating a WebSocket to Onshape's servers. This usually means you are using an HTTP proxy which does not support WebSockets."

From the looking around that I could understand, this is usually because of the network admin's security settings. (I don't have experience in IT, or understand how proxies work)
I know that I can use the app on my phone, and just proved that I can open and edit a model in chrome, on my phone, in desktop mode.
So, I opened a hotspot, connected my desktop to it, and still get the same issue in either Chrome or Edge browser.

If anyone knows what settings I need to change on my desktop, I would appreciate being walked through it, as its clear to me, that is the bottleneck I'm stuck in.
