Drawing BOM and view linked to different assembly configurations

I’m running into an issue with drawings. I have a drawing of an assembly, and the assembly has configurations. I’d like to be able to update the drawing based on which configuration I have selected. Right now, when I right click and change configuration of the assembly in the drawing, only the drawing views update and the BOM table does not. I can right click it and update the BOM individually, but these need to be linked.

How can I make it where the BOM and drawing views are always linked to the same configuration, so I only have to select the configuration once?

Just in case anyone else comes across the same issue and stumbles on my question, the global configuration for the drawing is found at the location in the picture. This will update the configuration for everything related to that assembly in your drawing.
