Is it possible to create a mate connector based off another mate connector in assembly?

in part studio you could either use a custom feature like multimateconnector or use transform to move and copy the original mateconnector.
problem with transform however  its no loger linked to the owner part of the original mate connector.

What would be the use-case for this?
