Why is my shell not working?

jan_mateojan_mateo Member Posts: 2
I'm designing a twisty vase to 3d print.

I used the loft feature to model the main body with a twist in it.

I am now trying to use the shell feature to empty the vase to put a plant in it when I 3d print it. The shell feature is not working, and I don't know why.

I don't know what to do, so I wanted to see what you thought. :)

I've seen this kind of issue before and it was caused by shell thickness causing self intersecting geometry. You could try changing thickness, or even tweaking the model in order to get the shell to work. This is what I would start with, but there could be other issues that are causing this - and others could have more answers
    Good luck
