Instructor's Kit answer key need explanation for Lesson 1 question 7 - Matching sketch after update

Hello,
I don't understand the solution to question 7.  I think I get the point in that the vertical 3 inch dimension is made longer (it should be made explicit,) so given the other dimensions and constraints what will happen to the part. As I see it in Part 2 the arc is attached to the midpoint of the segment so it will automatically remain centered on the line. Part 1 has a dimension from the top so when the vertical length is extended the arc moves upward when updated. In Part 3 the arc has from the bottom edge so when the vertical length is extended the update part will have the arc closer to the bottom. Some kind of written explanation would help.  Does this work as a correct explanation?

Your explanation is correct.  I agree it should be more explicit which dimension is being changed and/or use a more consistent scale.

Thanks for the feedback @jack_aiello, I have updated the instructions to make them more clear. As Jake mentioned, your explanation is correct and you should get 1-C, 2-A, 3-B.
