make a cut on a bending line with sheet metal

Hi,

The current design is a sort of box, but it is impossible to make according to the sheet bender.
A possible solution is to make a cut on the bending line, but how can I design this in OnShape...?!
FYI for the manufacturer I can upload a step file and the software notices the fabrication errors, so I don't upload an unfolded drawing.



I want to make the cut here and weld it afterwards

in your example it works, but in my drawing I can't choose a sketch plane in the flat pattern...?! I am now checking why not. Maybe because I have multiple sheet metal models. Or I create the sheet metal different...
hmm just tried and now it seems to work...?!?! maybe something with refresh...?!
