Zoom is broken and objects have disappeared from assembly screen

I was zooming in and out in assembly to put together parts when all of sudden the close up failed to show up but the mate connectors were shown on a dot diagram of the parts but I can no longer see the parts up close. Why has the zoom broken on me like this? When I was trying to fix it, I tried to drag the object into view but all three objects disappeared from the screen and are no longer able to be found. What is going on? I tried camera and render options like isometric view and zoom to fit but it looks like the objects have disappeared on me for good. What can I do get my assembly back and view it properly?

I reloaded the page and the objects came back into view but I still can't zoom in to see the objects. The zoom is stuck on a dot of the object that has mate connectors attached to it. How can I expand the view so I can see the objects up close so that I can make assembly changes?
