beginner question about Use tool and plains

Hi, I crated a new front plane to my extrude since the front profile of the extrude is curved. I want to sketch some rectangles on the sketch that is on the new front plain, and remove them from the extrusion. 
I'm trying to get the dimensions of the front profile of the extrusion to the sketch that is on the new front plain. I tried to use the Use tool but I cant figure out how to get the Hight and width of the extrusion to the sketch.

    Hello. I am confused. You say you created the new plane for sketch 2 because the surface you want to use for the sketch is curved. The only curved surface of your part is perpendicular to the front plane not parallel to it. If I understand your intent correctly, you would need a plane parallel to the right plane. - Scotty
