How do I hollow out this extrusion on the side of a curve

Hi, I am fairly new to Onshape but trying to learn on the go so I have probably drawn this all wrong which is why I cant now do what I want to.

I need to hollow out the extrusion that I have draw on the side of this draft but cant see a way to do it. I did a sketch to the side on a plane and then extruded up to face to create the shape I wanted but what do I do now please?

Moving the bulge ahead of the shell operation will hollow it out.
