Get itemSource of Drawing

severin_schranz895severin_schranz895 Member Posts: 19 ✭✭
Hi everybody,

is it possible to get the itemSource (did, wvm, wvmid and eid) of a drawing from the linked part's itemSource?
I'm currently trying to use the API to get a automized export tool for bigger assemblies, for this i would use the bom endpoint to get all the metadata of all parts of the assembly. From this json, the next step would be to get to the linked drawings and export these as PDFs. Is this possible, or is there a better way to tackle this?

All the best

If you have views in your drawing, you can get it from the references:
    /api/appelements/d/{did}/w/{wid}/e/{eid}/references

    www.smartbenchsoftware.com --- fs.place --- Renaissance

    Thanks for your response.
For this I need to know the {did}, {wid} and {eid} of the drawing right? From the BOM export I only get this information from my parts. Going forward from this information I would like to find the according drawing of the parts and export them as PDFs.
