Create spanner grip on antenna

henry_theeßenhenry_theeßen Member Posts: 2
Hey,

I created a model of an antenna stump Id like to 3D-Print in Onshape.

Id like to have a grip at the base of the antenna to grip the antenna with 17mm spanner. I inserted a cuboid into the shape that has the correct size and though I might be able to reduce the surface of the antenna onto the cuboid. I dont find a way to do so unfortunately. Also, the cuboid is messing with the internal threads inside of the antenna and I cant get a proper hole in the cuboid without destroying the threads.

I attachted two images, one of the entire antenna and one close up of the cuboid which is 17mm wide and should leave a negative imprint on the antenna.

Thanks in advance.

@henry_theeßen   Like this....  You need to sketch TWO cube profiles, aligned to each other, with one being larger than the first. The smaller cube should be 17mm,  Then Extrude Remove the area between the two profiles.
