Is there a better way to evenly space various sized sketch entities?

I would like to find a more efficient way of evenly spacing apart different sized shapes when designing a part. Currently a dimension is placed in-between each shape, then when changes are needed each dimension is changed individually, this becomes tedious when designing something like a Drill Bit Holder.
I thought that some type of constraint where two points or lines are selected, then an existing dimension is selected to control them might be available but It dose not seem to be, nor a way to select multiple identical dimensions and control them together.

Basically, create a bunch of short construction lines between all the shapes, and set them all to be equal. You can then control the overall length and have it do the math to make them all the same, or you can dimension one of the spaces and have the overall length be a resultant.
