How do I create embossed (extruded) text onto a compound curved surface?

I am designing bells and barrels for clarinets to be 3D printed.  I need to label the objects with pertinent information so that it can be printed as an embossment.

Hi, I looked into this and it seems to me that this feature aligns the text to the sketch plane of the path curve. This makes no sense to me. There is another FS that works better in this situation.

Hi, the most slicers have an option to emboss text into the parts. Or you could use this FS in onshape

Yes my slicer can place text, but here is no way to accurately place it, and it crashes when I try to place text onto more than 2 items.  I’ll try the script you linked to.  Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure about the actual geometry of your parts, but with somwhat cylindrical or barrel shaped parts, I'd probably project a sketch with the text onto the part (or on a zero offset surface of it), which would conform the text to the surface. Then I'd create a thickened volume of the text, be it embossed or engraved. There are possibly other options.

That's what I can't figure out how to do, being a relative newcomer to OnShape and using the free version.  I cannot get the FS provided by rafael-telgmann to work - it paces the text 90 degrees to the surface.  My geometry is created from a profile sketch that I revolve.

It almost works:

Help!  Here's the document. It's placing the text upside down on opposite sides of the barrel.  Need it to simply say 66 and be extruded inward 2mm.
