How to create a variation of a part (or sketsh, I'm not sure of the terminology)

Hi,

I created a part in part studio with a number of features and now I'd like to make a copy of it IN THE SAME part studio and change its features.

For example, look at the part in

Here's an image, so you don't have to bother opening it up unless you're really dying to see this master creation ;-)

I would like to create a copy of this with the holes or the notches in different places, or maybe a round version of it with the same hole pattern.

Is this doable? If so, could someone please point me in the direction of an easy to follow tutorial?
