mate connector visibilty settings
I find the mate connectors only useful for assembling parts. But they show up every time and stay visible also after you have mated them in an assembly. So I use "hide all mate connectors" so often, I am starting to wonder if there is a setting that manipulates their behaviour. When I am modeling, and use the assembly tab for looking at from different angels, they can get in the way and become a hindrance. Especially from the fasteners, which are always lots and lots. I looked for it but cannot find it.
What I would like is for them to automatically disappear after they have been used, in the same way the sketches disappear after you performed an extrude (which often I don't want to happen so I re-show them).
Is there any settings with regards to this that I simply cannot find?

I don't think there is a setting (correct me if I'm wrong), but the closest thing is the hotkey "K" - this toggles all mate connectors off/on
