Boolean operation would result in non-manifold body

Hello :). I'm trying to make a boolean out of these two parts
However, I get the error message: "Boolean did not regenerate properly. Boolean operation would result in non-manifold body", with the erorr happening particularly on this line:

Hard to tell from your screen shots what exactly the problem is. Is that three parts, or two parts and a surface? Maybe share a link to the document. Non-manifold geometry is when the part will have zero thickness geometry somewhere. Like a point meeting a surface.
