I'm trying to turn this Lofted surface into a solid so it is part of part 1 but I tried thicken, enclose and fill and they aren't working. What am I doing wrong? I'm new to this software, so I appreciate the help.

did you try a solid loft iso surface loft?
Howwould I do that?
Ashley, the selections you have made in your features cannot be examined. Please post a link to your document. - Scotty
In this specific example for the enclose to work you need to:
Either select all the faces of the surface as well as the face where it is touching part 1 so that there are not open gaps. Alternatively, you can select the entire surface from the parts list and then select the face of part 1.
Also, you could just do a solid body loft instead of a surface loft. This way you don't have to turn it into a solid. To do this you have to loft from at least one face to something else. It can't be edges to point.
