Can I import an image file to use as a backdrop so that I can trace over the top of it?

I am trying to reverse engineer a part with a complex geometry and don't have access to a 3D scanner. It seems like it would be easy enough to import an image of the part that I could use to at least trace the 2D projection and then extrude. Is there a way to do this in Onshape or some other software?

This throws me a bit. Are you referring to "Insert Image" from the DXF dropdown? Or is there really a "Sketch Image" command? Just wondering if I'm missing out on a feature I don't know about.
