Please help with assigning thickness to the surface; Thicken

Please help in applying Thicken to the surface, I need it to be 2-3 mm thick. I wonder what is wrong with me design that Thicken command does not work? Thanks

The leaves on the bowl are degenerate surfaces. Two sides joint at zero degrees, and two join at 180. Both of those situations are not good for NURBS surfaces. I would recommend sweeping or revolving something and then projecting the final outline to get the shape you want.

Hello Simon, thanks for your advice. I did the mail bowl by revolving and Boolean subtraction, but the leaves going out i do not know how to make differently. I finally got to this stage, see the link, but I can not compose it in a single part. I am on a learning curve, but it is not easy to learn at my age :-)

You need to fix this "wrinkle" in your suface:

Hello Eric, this is a transitional area between concave and convex shape. Any idea how to fix it? You can see from my file how i build the surface. So, what is wrong in my approach that produce this wrinkle?
