Why can I not create the combination of these 2 mates

I can do the "Slider" mate, or I can do the "revolute" mate, and on their own, they both work fine. But as soon as I try and do both mates, Onshape tells me that I cannot do this. I'm pretty new to this so maybe it's common sense that I can't do this, but I was able to do it in solid works and it worked just fine.
