Non-Circular Detail View doesn't 'move' with main drawing view when model is updated

I've been using more non-circular shapes for detail views due to product geometry. When a circle is used for the view, it is 'attached' to a specific point in the main view and thus will move when the model is changed and the specified attachment point moves. However, when using anything other than the circle border shape, the shape does not move with the view when the model is changed and the drawing view is updated. Is there a way to attach any non-circular detail views to the main view so that it will move when the model is changed? It's a real pain having to manually change the detail border shape after the drawing is updated, especially with the limited capabilities for working with square/rectangular borders (ie ensuring the four lines are parallel/perpendicular when manually dragging each corner). TIA!
